Josh Johnson, eCommerce Manager for London Drugs, Ltd., shares results of the London Drugs Shopping Cart Recovery program. Results were recorded between October 30, 2013 – November 28, 2013.
"When we launched our Shopping Cart Recovery campaign with Listrak, our goal was to secure as many potential sales as we possibly could during a very busy time of the year. We knew that for the Canadian consumer free shipping was/is a major factor influencing where they shop online and felt that by including a free shipping offer as part of our Shopping Cart Recovery campaign we could appeal to a demand nearly all online shoppers have."
"Our initial conversion rate expectations hovered around 15%. Given that this was our first Shopping Cart Recovery campaign, we expected to learn a lot but not necessarily see above average conversions. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised when we saw how effective both our first and second emails were performing," said Johnson.
The result: 23.58% conversion rate!
